Background of the study
Digital influencers in Nigeria have garnered significant followings on social media platforms, particularly on Instagram, where their communication style has a profound impact on linguistic practices. This study examines how digital influencer communication influences morphosyntactic patterns in Nigerian Instagram posts. Influencers often use creative language techniques, such as blending informal language with traditional grammatical structures, to engage their audiences and promote brand identities (Okafor, 2023). Their posts serve as models for linguistic innovation, shaping both morphological constructions and syntactic patterns among their followers (Ibrahim, 2024). The study explores the mechanisms by which influencer language disrupts conventional morphosyntactic norms, examining the interplay between digital marketing, cultural expression, and language evolution. This research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how influencer communication contributes to language change and the formation of new linguistic trends in Nigerian digital discourse (Afolabi, 2023).
Statement of the problem
Although digital influencers are pivotal in shaping online communication, there is a limited understanding of their impact on morphosyntactic patterns in Nigerian language use. Existing research often overlooks how the stylistic choices of influencers affect the language practices of their followers. This gap is particularly evident in the context of Instagram, where visual and textual content merge to create hybrid communication styles. The present study aims to fill this gap by conducting a comparative analysis of morphosyntactic patterns in influencer posts versus user-generated content, thereby elucidating the broader implications of digital influencer communication on language structure (Chinaza, 2024).

Research questions
Significance of the study
This study is significant as it provides a comparative analysis of the impact of digital influencers on morphosyntactic patterns in Nigerian communication. The findings will inform linguistic research, digital marketing strategies, and educational policies by highlighting the transformative power of influencer language on social media (Okeke, 2023).
Scope and limitations of the study
The study is confined to the examination of Instagram posts by digital influencers within Nigerian digital discourse. It is limited to morphosyntactic analysis and does not extend to other linguistic features or platforms.
